Visualization Techniques for Solving Sudokus in 5 Minutes
by Mike Colloby
Would you like to be able to solve every Sudoku?.......And in double-quick time?
This book begins with the basic techniques needed to get started in Sudoku. It then progresses through a total of 50 techniques - building up a toolkit of techniques, strategies and training methods that will, if you master them, enable you to become a top player.
The book explains how and why my thinking has evolved through doing many 1000’s of puzzles, and it takes you from where I started through to everything that I now know as a top player.
The worked examples include the UK Final and World Final Play-Off puzzles of 2006 and 2007.
The book aims to cover all techniques, but it focuses on visualization techniques. This is a crusade for the author, because almost all websites and books promote X-Wing and Swordfish as the ways to solve extreme puzzles. But these methods take a long time and cannot solve every puzzle. Visualization techniques, on the other hand, are fast and are guaranteed to solve every puzzle. At the recent UK Finals, every player in the Quarter Final Play-Off was using visualization techniques. Why? Because the players using Swordfish were still trying to finish the 1st Round puzzles!
Do you believe that trial and error is wrong? Find out the truth inside this book! |
